New King size Bed.
I made a new base for our new king sized mattress from left over offcuts of Australian hard wood that I had lying around in the workshop. The idea was to create the illusion of a neatly stacked pile of timber that appeared to float (there is a steel subframe that forms a fifty mm high shadow line that has not been attached in these photo's). The subframe is made from Australian hardwood ply offcuts. The feature rail is Redgum.
